RYT-WAY PURCHASING DEPARTMENT 

   The Purchasing department of Ryt-way Industries, LLC. consists of  the Purchasing Manager;  an  Engineering & Maintenance Buyer; and  an  Assistant Buyer.  In addition our Purchasing Administrative Assistant/Receptionist, also reports to  the Purchasing Manager and helps out with the day to day operation of the plant.  Purchasing is responsible for buying all of the  materials and supplies used throughout the production facility.  We buy gloves, hairnets and earplugs, as well as other safety related items.  We purchase all of the glue, tape, brushes and brooms used in everyday production.  In some cases, we buy all or a part of the product, roll stock, cartons and shippers that are used on each packaging project. 

Relative to our equipment needs, the Engineering & Maintenance Buyer is responsible for buying most of the machines as well as their replacement parts.  That person  works with our Engineering and Maintenance departments to ensure we have a supply of back-up parts to keep the machines running.   They are also active on the Safety Steering committee and buy all of the safety treats we enjoy when we reach our safety goals.

The Purchasing department is also responsible for contracting many of the different services Ryt-way uses throughout the company, such as uniform and vending services, transportation and lawn care.  We also work with the Warehouse and Building Maintenance departments to ensure that these services are cost effective and produce the best possible results for us.  As a group we issue Purchase Orders ranging from a single item to a blanket order that  could cover an entire year. 

As you can see, Ryt-way’s Purchasing Department is very active in the day to day operation of the business and works with many different departments to ensure everyone has the items they need in order to do their jobs.
