The advantage over traditional stick packaging is realized through Cloud’s high-speed, continuous–motion horizontal form fill and seal (HFFS) stick packaging machinery. It can process up to 3,500 pouches per minute for a 2 gram fill while maintaining extreme fill accuracy and exact count collation— allowing for higher efficiencies and yields with reduced labor costs and significant film and product cost savings. In addition to being the most economical choice, the stick packaging machinery offers a reduced carbon footprint, delivering up to 20 percent savings in packaging materials compared with traditional stick packs.
The new stick packaging machine provides flexibility in package design and ensures both accurate filling and exact count accuracy of 99.9 percent. Cloud’s stick packaging can be produced in any width, including two multipurpose widths predominantly used in the stick packaging market for dry powders: a slim .875-inch pack perfect for on-the-go bottled water mixes and a larger 1.375-inch package for products requiring greater capacity for fill. Pouch heights can be customized up to 7 inches in height to accommodate the product volume.
The new design of the Cloud stick pack is distinctive in that its tear notch and angled spout are engineered for a more precise, clean and easy pour into the narrow neck of a bottle opening. In addition, the new design offers more real estate for nutritional information and product branding.
Cloud is able to custom-engineer equipment to meet a client’s specific packaging requirements. The Cloud stick packaging machine offers many advantages over traditional multi-lane machines, including tighter weight control, extreme collation accuracy and less maintenance.
