Employee Selection and Training Process Objective Ryt-way Industries, LLC. believes our employees are our greatest asset. We pride ourselves on the fact that proper time spent in the selection and training process allows us to hire only the BEST. Selection Employee selection at Ryt-way Industries begins with the candidate’s application. Each applicant has previous employment reference checks conducted on him/her. Applicants selected to be interviewed will spend time with our Training Manager. Part of the interview process could include a brief tour of facility allowing the applicant the opportunity to view a similar work position. If an applicant successfully completes the interview process, any position offered would be contingent upon the candidate's successful completion of a drug screen, background check and a skills assessment test. Training New Employee training will generally take place on first shift. Emphasis during new hire orientation is on company policies and procedures relating to safe work habits, position performance, attendance, break procedures, call in procedures and housekeeping. Additional emphasis is placed on ‘safe food handling procedures’ as dictated by the federally mandated Good Manufacturing Practices. New employees complete a Computer Based Interactive Training program on the Right to Know Act (dangers in the workplace), Proper Use and Care of Personal Protective Equipment, Food Allergens (what are food allergens and preventing cross-contamination), as well as Good Manufacturing Practices & Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (GMP’s and HACCP are safe food processing/handling procedures). Each new employee receives on the job training with a Training Coach for their position lasting 2 to 4 weeks. When orientation and position training are complete, the new employee should be equipped with the fundamental knowledge to perform the responsibilities of their position. |
